Complacent God

Humans aching
with self loathing,
my breath blows
tranquility
into their minds.
I'm the serene wind
flowing gently across
them on restless nights.
The peaceful feeling
from the morning breeze.
Gust of relaxation.

Buddhist cosmology tells of Trāyastriṃśa, or the Heaven of Thirty-Three gods, which rule over the human realm.  This weekend we're asking for exactly 33 of your own words about a god of your own devising that shares heaven with the other thirty-two gods.  Make it yours and have fun with it.

  2. As Aesop says above, a god of serenity would be very welcome indeed. I liked too the name of this piece: the complacent god. Certainly gives pause. Nicely done, Donetta :)))
