Waiting. He knew she despised waiting.
Patience was a virtue she lacked and didn't care.
Staring pensively at her toenails, wondering should she have painted them?
Not that it would make any difference,
not to him anyway.
She felt like getting up and storming out of the house.
Why should she be depressed and downhearted?
Two months now, and she had been waiting on him.
Even with a great deal of patience on her part.
Waiting for what, now she just didn't know?
For one, it had been a year, wasted, her hurting.
Then out of the blue as they seem to drift,
a call from him telling her he loves her.
He realized he could have lost her affection and it made him crazy.
She had tried blocking the words out.
Once she grasp on to them as she had,
she had caught him in lies, other women involved,
losing his job, disappearing on her every time plans were made.
Yet here she was still in love with him, or who he was once to her.
Yes, she thinks she will leave and drive into the city for that pedicure.
